‣Chris Chung
Christopher Daehan Chung is a queer Korean-American native to the New York area. Raised on Staten Island, he is currently a resident of the Bronx, where he recently graduated from Fordham University. Since then he has been working for APICHA (Asian & Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS) as the Program Assistant. Chris is also a Poongmul/Samulnori percussionist and uses this art form to share his culture with the NYC community.
‣Stephen Kang
Stephen Bonggyun Kang is a queer Korean American man who was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the United States when he was three years old. He serves on the coordinating committee of The Dari Project. He is a former member of the Steering Committee of Gay Asian Pacific Islander Men of New York, an organization that provides social, educational, and political support to gay and bisexual men and transgender people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent.
Stephen lives in Queens, and in his professional career has worked for various nonprofit social service and legal organizations working on poverty, and homelessness, and social justice issues.
‣Un Jung Lim
Un Jung Lim is a Lesbian/Queer Korean American born in South Korea and who was raised by her grandparents in Berkshire County Massachusetts. Un Jung has been out to her family and community since 1998 and serves on the coordinating committee of The Dari Project. Un Jung has been an active steering committee member for Q-Wave, a social and political group that promotes visibility, community and support for women and transgender people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent in the New York City area.
Un Jung graduated from Mount Holyoke College and has worked at the Asian and Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS and the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center. Un Jung lives in New York City with her Chihuahua named Cherri and is now pursuing a Masters degree at the Hunter College School of Social Work where she furthers her role as a social justice activist.
‣Sung Won Park
‣John Won
John Won is a queer second-generation Korean American man from Queens, New York. John has worked in building queer people of color communities for over 15 years, beginning in high school with HIV/AIDS activism/advocacy. Most recently, he served as co-chair of the Board of Directors of The Audre Lorde Project, a community-organizing center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Trans and Gender Non-Conforming People of Color. He served as co-chair of the Gay Asian & Pacific Islander Men of New York (GAPIMNY) for two years, and he participated in the planning committee of the Queer Asian Pacific Legacy regional conference that was held at NYU in 2004.
Professionally, John has worked as a graphic designer and news graphics editor during the past seven years.
